We start by easing into a simple, prop-based restorative pose of comfort. Once at ease, the guided meditation technique calms mental chatter by redirecting awareness to what is felt by the senses in the moment. This is the practice of “Integrative Restoration”. Researched and supported by the military, “iRest” has been used for over 2 decades in veteran clinics for the treatment of post traumatic stress, anxiety and insomnia. * props needed: yoga bolster or 1-2 bed pillows, 2 blocks or 2 cushions, 2 blankets or 2 blankets/throws.
