Maura has been a practitioner of yoga for half her life and has been a keen mover for longer. Originally having a background in athletics and team sports, she found yoga as a teen to help establish balance during that busy time. Over the next 10 years she returned to yoga over and over again as a support to both body and mind.
In 2016 Maura completed 200 hours Foundational training at Octopus Garden Holistic Yoga Centre with Pat Harada Linfoot and Scott Davis. In 2017 she went on and completed their 300 Advanced teacher training, and in 2019 was certified in Mat Pilates at Body Harmonics.
Her teachings are a fluid blend of many practises and are always informed by yoga- through ethics and philosophy. Her emphasis, both on and off the mat, is on presence, playfulness, and inclusivity; and is about building resiliency inside and out.
